Centrifugal blast furnace blowers have relatively mature manufacturing and use experience in China, and blast furnaces below 400m3 are widely used in industrial backward regions and countries. But with the increase of the blast furnace, the adjustment loss of the centrifugal blower, the size and the weight of the fan have increased significantly, which brings great difficulties to the manufacture, transportation, installation and maintenance, but also by the rotating parts-impeller material strength, spindle stiffness, motor start-up and other factors, but also the reliability and economy of the fan operation has been reduced. The axial flow blower has the characteristics of compact structure, small size, light weight, good load adjustment, wide range of use, small moment of inertia of the fan, and easy start of the motor, so it is widely used in large-scale and modern blast furnaces. Axial flow blowers are widely used in blast furnaces above 500m3 in China, and some experience has been accumulated in manufacturing and operation.
