The working principle of the two-speed electric is similar to that of the single speed. Different connection methods are realized through external terminal wiring to change the number of magnetic poles of the stator winding to achieve different speeds. There are two sets of windings inside the two-speed motor. Speed regulation can be achieved by changing different working windings. The number of pole pairs is different for different windings.

At low speed, the motor is connected by triangle, and at high speed, it is connected by double YY type. We can achieve high and low speed switching through 3 contactors. The working principle of the two-speed motor (variable speed) is: the variable speed of the motor adopts the method of changing the connection of the windings, that is, changing the number of magnetic pole pairs of the rotating magnetic field of the motor to change its speed. The two-speed motor (fan) usually has a low speed, and sometimes the fan rotates at a high speed. It is mainly realized by changing the winding connection mode of the motor coil through the switching of the following external control circuit.

1. Two common windings with different pole pairs are embedded in the stator slot, and the connection method of the motor stator winding is changed through the switching of the external control circuit to realize the change of the pole pairs;

2. Two independent windings with different pole pairs are embedded in the stator slot;
